CHICAGO, IL – Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with a robbery that occurred near Millennium Park. The suspect allegedly approached a victim near the Cloud Gate sculpture, commonly known as “The Bean,” and demanded their belongings at gunpoint.

Chicago police were able to track down the suspect thanks to surveillance footage from nearby buildings and witnesses who provided descriptions of the suspect. The suspect is currently being held in custody and is facing charges for armed robbery.

“This is a prime example of how our community can come together to help solve crimes,” said a spokesperson for the Chicago Police Department. “We’re grateful for the cooperation of the witnesses and for the swift action of our officers in apprehending the suspect.”

The Cloud Gate sculpture, located in Millennium Park, is one of Chicago’s most popular tourist attractions. The iconic sculpture is made of stainless steel and mirrors, and is said to represent the city’s skyline and the diversity of its residents.
