Chocolate Recall: Repackaged M&M Products Pulled in 20 States

Recalled Product

Beacon Promotions Inc. has initiated a voluntary recall of several repackaged M&M’s products due to missing allergen information that could pose serious health risks to consumers with food allergies.

What’s Being Recalled?

The recall affects repackaged M&M’s products distributed across 20 states. Two main product categories are included in the recall:

1.3-ounce repackaged M&M’s Peanut candies labeled as “Make Your Mark” (541 units with lot number M1823200 and best by date of April 30, 2026).

1.3-ounce repackaged M&M’s candies with various promotional company names including Subaru, Adobe, Morgan Stanley, Best Western, and approximately 25 other corporate promotional labels (5,788 units with multiple lot numbers and best by dates ranging from December 1, 2025 to September 1, 2026).

The affected products were sold in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, North Carolina, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Why Were These Products Recalled?

All of the recalled products contain undeclared allergens, including milk, soy, and peanut. The missing allergen information on product labels could pose serious health risks to anyone with allergies to these ingredients, potentially triggering allergic reactions ranging from mild symptoms to life-threatening anaphylaxis.

The FDA has classified this as a Class II recall, meaning the products may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences, or the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.

What Should You Do?

The FDA published its Class II classification on February 4, 2026. If you have any of the recalled repackaged M&M’s products, do not consume them, especially if you have allergies to milk, soy, or peanut.

Check your products for the specific item numbers (BB471BG or BB458BG), lot numbers, and best by dates listed in the recall notice. The products may have been distributed as promotional items from various companies.

Consumers with questions can contact Beacon Promotions Inc. for more information about the recall and potential refunds or replacements.
