E Mishan & Sons, Inc. of New York City has recalled approximately 740,000 Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue Stainless Steel Sauté Pans after discovering that a metal cap on the screw connecting the handle to the pan can detach and forcefully eject when the pan is heated — posing burn and impact hazards to anyone nearby. The recall was announced April 2, 2026, by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. At least 98 incidents have been reported, including one case in which a consumer suffered bruising and burn injuries.
What’s Being Recalled?
The recalled product is the Granitestone Diamond Pro Blue Stainless Steel Sauté Pan set, sold as a 2-piece set containing one 10-inch pan and one 11.5-inch pan. The UPC number for the recalled set is 0-80313-08131-6. The pans were sold at Costco stores nationwide and online at Costco.com, Walmart.com, and Amazon.com from August 2021 through February 2026 for approximately $40 per set. The pans feature a stainless steel exterior with a blue granite-style interior coating.
Why Was This Product Recalled?
The metal cap on the screw that attaches the handle to the pan body can become loose and forcefully eject when the pan is heated during cooking. The ejected cap poses two hazards: an impact risk from the flying metal piece and a burn risk from hot food or liquid that spills when the handle fails. E Mishan has received at least 98 reports of the cap detaching and ejecting during use. One consumer sustained bruising and burns as a result of the defect. The CPSC urges all owners to stop using these pans immediately.
