The recall covers two package formats of Fly By Jing Creamy Sesame Noodles in all affected best-by dates listed below:
Fly By Jing Creamy Sesame Noodles (Single Pack) — UPC 8-50052-23988-6. Best-by dates: October 15, 2026; December 6, 2026; and March 23, 2027.
Fly By Jing Creamy Sesame Noodles (4-Pack) — UPC 8-50052-23991-6. Best-by dates: October 15, 2026; December 6, 2026; and March 23, 2027.
The best-by date is printed on the individual package. No other Fly By Jing noodle flavors or sauce products are included in this recall.
Why Was This Product Recalled?
Fly By Jing discovered that a third-party manufacturer producing the Creamy Sesame Noodles uses the same equipment to process peanuts for other products. This shared equipment creates the potential for peanut residue to contaminate the noodle product, even though peanuts are not an ingredient in Fly By Jing Creamy Sesame Noodles and are not listed on the label. Peanuts are one of the nine major food allergens recognized under federal law. Consumers with peanut allergies risk a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the contaminated product. Fly By Jing has immediately ceased distribution of all affected products and is working with the manufacturer to implement corrective actions and verify the safety of all remaining products before resuming distribution. The company states that peanut cross-contact was not detectable from the product’s label, meaning consumers with peanut allergies would have had no way to identify the risk.
