Kidisle Recalls 17,600 Coffeemakers Sold On Amazon, Walmart, And eBay Over Hot Liquid And Steam Burns

Product Recall

Kidisle has recalled approximately 17,600 Kidisle hot and iced coffee machines after the coffeemakers were found to become clogged internally, causing hot liquid or steam to build up and release unexpectedly during use — scalding users or anyone nearby. The recall was announced June 11, 2026. The CPSC is aware of at least 107 reports of hot liquid or steam releasing unexpectedly, resulting in 27 reported injuries including first- and second-degree burns that required medical treatment.

What’s Being Recalled?

The recalled product is the Kidisle coffeemaker, model KC101B — a single-serve hot and iced coffee machine in black, white, and gray, measuring approximately 11 inches high and 6 inches wide, with a 50-ounce detachable water tank. It brews 6 to 14 ounces of cupped or ground coffee. The model number KC101B is printed on a sticker on the underside of the coffeemaker. The recalled units were sold exclusively online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com, and eBay.com from June 2024 through April 2026 for approximately $49.

Why Was This Product Recalled?

The recalled coffeemakers can become clogged during operation, causing hot liquid or steam pressure to build up inside the machine. When the pressure releases unexpectedly, scalding liquid or steam can be expelled without warning — directly toward the user or anyone nearby. The CPSC has received 107 reports of this occurring, with 27 confirmed injuries including first- and second-degree burns that required medical attention. First-degree burns cause redness and pain at the surface; second-degree burns affect deeper skin layers and may require ongoing medical care including wound dressing, pain management, and in severe cases, skin grafting. The 27 confirmed injuries represent a high incident rate for a kitchen appliance — this is not an isolated defect.

What Should You Do?

Stop using the recalled Kidisle coffeemaker immediately and unplug it. Contact Kidisle for a full refund by emailing [email protected]. You will be asked to destroy the coffeemaker by cutting the power cord, writing “Recalled” in permanent marker on the unit, and sending a photo clearly showing the model number and the cut cord. Do not return the coffeemaker to Amazon, Walmart, or eBay — the refund is handled directly through Kidisle. After your refund is confirmed, dispose of the unit following local guidelines.
