California Innovations Inc. has recalled approximately 2,500 Arctic Zone Titan Pro 40-can iceless coolers after discovering that the front latch magnet can detach from the cooler, posing a choking risk to young children. The recall was announced June 11, 2026. No incidents or injuries have been reported. The coolers were sold exclusively at Costco stores nationwide in March 2026 for about $40. A free replacement latch will be mailed to all affected consumers.
What’s Being Recalled?
The recall covers the Arctic Zone Titan Pro 40-can capacity iceless coolers, sold in black and brown. The rectangular, collapsible coolers measure approximately 15 inches wide by 12 inches deep by 12 inches high when open and feature a hard-top lid with a front latch, a built-in bottle opener, front insulated compartment, front zippered pocket, two mesh side pockets, and a shoulder strap. “Titan Pro by Arctic Zone” is printed on the front. Style number 10006348 is on a sewn-in label inside the front zippered pocket. The coolers were sold exclusively at Costco stores nationwide in March 2026 for approximately $40.
Why Was This Product Recalled?
The front latch on the recalled coolers contains a magnet that can detach during normal use. Small magnets pose a serious choking and internal injury hazard if swallowed by young children. The CPSC notes that swallowing two or more magnets — or one magnet and a metal object — can cause them to attract to each other through the walls of the digestive tract, leading to intestinal perforation, blockage, or other life-threatening internal injuries requiring emergency surgery. No incidents involving the Arctic Zone cooler’s magnet have been reported. The recall is preventive.
What Should You Do?
Stop using the front latch on the recalled Arctic Zone Titan Pro cooler and keep it away from children. Contact California Innovations for a free replacement latch, which will be shipped at no cost along with installation instructions and a tool to remove the existing latch and install the new one. The cooler can continue to be used after the replacement latch is installed.
