General Mills has voluntarily recalled approximately 735,840 frozen Pillsbury bread rolls after discovering the products may contain glass fragments. The recall was initiated June 19, 2026, and published by the FDA this week. No injuries have been reported. These are food service products distributed in bulk to restaurants, hotels, bakeries, and other commercial food operations in 19 states — not consumer retail products. Anyone who has eaten bread rolls at a restaurant, hotel, or food service establishment in those states may have consumed product from the recalled lots.
What’s Being Recalled?
Two Pillsbury bread roll products are included, both marketed to food service businesses:
Pillsbury Bread Rolls “Hard Roll Dough” — cases containing 180 units of 2.25 oz each. Recall number H-1154-2026. Best-if-used-by date October 12, 2026. A total of 3,080 cases were distributed.
Pillsbury Bread Rolls “Kaiser Roll Dough” — cases containing 144 units of 2.5 oz each. Recall number H-1155-2026. Best-if-used-by date October 13, 2026. A total of 1,260 cases were distributed.
Both products were distributed to food service operations in Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Missouri, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wyoming. These rolls are thaw-and-bake food service products not typically available to individual retail consumers.
Why Was This Product Recalled?
General Mills identified the possible presence of glass fragments in the recalled bread roll lots. Glass fragments in food can cause lacerations to the mouth, throat, and digestive tract, broken teeth, choking, and internal injury. The specific source of the contamination has not been publicly disclosed. No consumer complaints or injuries have been reported.
What Should You Do?
