Corte Argentino USA LLC of Florida is recalling approximately 29,628 pounds of raw beef products imported from Argentina after the products were distributed without completing required U.S. import reinspection. The recall was announced August 10, 2026, by the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service. No illnesses have been reported. The affected products were distributed to retailers and distributors in Florida and Texas. FSIS is concerned that some affected products may be in consumers’ refrigerators and freezers.
What’s Being Recalled?
The recall covers five cuts of boneless raw beef imported from Argentina under the FrigorIfico Gorina SAIC brand, produced between May 15 and May 20, 2026, with use-or-freeze-by dates between September 15 and September 20, 2026:
Boneless beef “Top Sirloin Butt” (Cuadril Sin Tapa)
Boneless beef “Eye Round” (Peceto)
Boneless beef “Topside Cap Off” (Nalga AD S/Tapa)
Boneless beef “Flat” (Carnaza Cuadrada)
Boneless beef “Knuckle” (Bola de Lomo)
All affected products are packaged in various weight cardboard boxes and bear Argentinian establishment number “EST. N° OF. 2025” and shipping mark “26644-AA.” The products were distributed to retailers and distributors in Florida and Texas.
Why Was This Product Recalled?
FSIS discovered during routine inspection activities that these products were imported from Argentina without completing the required U.S. import reinspection process. Import reinspection is a mandatory USDA step that checks documentation, labeling, packaging, the product’s general condition, and may include sampling for contaminants. Without this reinspection, FSIS cannot certify that the products meet U.S. food safety standards. This is the same type of procedural failure that triggered the July 28 recall of over 12,000 pounds of imported Canadian bacon. No contamination has been confirmed, but the USDA urges consumers not to eat the product given the inability to verify its safety.
What Should You Do?
Check your refrigerator and freezer for any of the five recalled beef cuts bearing establishment number “EST. N° OF. 2025” and shipping mark “26644-AA.” Do not consume the recalled beef.
