No illnesses have been reported. The recalled product was distributed between July 24 and August 10, 2026, to all Lidl US retail store locations in Delaware, District of Columbia, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia.
What’s Being Recalled?
The recall covers Vitasia Chinese Style Asian Style Wok Spice Mix, 1.58 oz (45g), UPC 4335619355491, Lot 155846, with a best-by date of June 2028 (BBD JUN 2028). The lot number and best-by date can be found on the side of the label. The recalled product is packaged in a plastic container with a purple lid. No other Vitasia or Lidl products are included.
Why Was This Product Recalled?
Lidl US initiated the recall after routine quality testing identified Salmonella present in a lab sample of the product. Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections, particularly in young children, the elderly, and immunocompromised individuals. Symptoms include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. In rare cases, Salmonella can enter the bloodstream and cause more serious conditions.
