Char-Broil LLC of Columbus, Georgia, is recalling approximately 10,605 Bistro Pro electric grills after the grounding wire for the grill’s heating element was found to disconnect, removing the grill’s fault protection and posing an electric shock hazard. The recall was announced September 17, 2026. No incidents or injuries have been reported.
What’s Being Recalled?
Nine model numbers of Char-Broil Bistro Pro electric grills are included, sold in full-size and tabletop configurations in Black, Red, Blackout, and Emerald colors: models 25302145, 25302146, 25302147, 25302148, 25302149, 25302150, 25302151, 25302159, and 25302163. Only grills with manufacturing date codes of 2510 (October 2025), 2511 (November 2025), or 2512 (December 2025) are included. The date code is on a label on the bottom shelf of full-size grills and on the side bar of tabletop models. The grills were sold at Ace Hardware, Lowe’s, Walmart, Wayfair, and QVC stores and websites from October 2025 through June 2026 for between $150 and $250.
Why Was This Product Recalled?
The grounding wire connecting to the grill’s heating element can disconnect during use, causing the grill to lose its fault protection. When fault protection is lost in an electric appliance, a ground fault — an unintended electrical path — can form, exposing the user to electric shock. No incidents or injuries have been reported.
