Admiral Beverage Recalls 77,760 Cans Of 7UP Tropical Zero Sugar After Full-Sugar Soda Found In Zero Sugar Packaging

Product Recall

Admiral Beverage Corporation of Evanston, Wyoming, is recalling approximately 3,240 cases — 77,760 cans — of 7UP Tropical Zero Sugar after it was discovered that cans labeled as zero sugar actually contain full-sugar 7UP Tropical soda. The recall was initiated August 20, 2026, and classified as Class II by the FDA on September 29, 2026. No injuries or adverse reactions have been reported. The affected product was distributed exclusively in Utah. This is the second recall of this type in 2026 involving a zero-sugar soda containing the full-sugar version.

What’s Being Recalled?

The recall covers 7UP Tropical Zero Sugar, sold in 12-ounce aluminum cans in 12-pack cartons. The outer 12-pack carton is labeled “7UP Tropical Flavored Soda” while the cans inside are labeled “7UP Tropical Zero Sugar” — but the soda inside is the regular, full-sugar version. Specific lot codes and best-by dates are available in the FDA’s enforcement report at fda.gov. The product was distributed exclusively in Utah.

Why Was This Product Recalled?

The recalled cans contain full-sugar 7UP Tropical instead of the zero-sugar formula indicated on the label. Each full-sugar 7UP Tropical can contains approximately 38 grams of added sugar. For most healthy consumers, this is an inconvenience rather than a health emergency. However, for individuals with diabetes, insulin resistance, or other medical conditions requiring strict sugar management, unknowingly consuming 38 grams of sugar per can can cause dangerous blood sugar spikes. Parents giving this beverage to children who they believe are drinking zero-sugar soda face a similar concern.

What Should You Do?

If you purchased 7UP Tropical Zero Sugar in Utah and are monitoring your sugar intake for medical reasons, do not drink the recalled product. Check the FDA’s enforcement report at fda.gov for the specific lot codes and best-by dates. Return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or simply discard it. Contact Admiral Beverage Corporation or Keurig Dr Pepper (which owns the 7UP brand) with questions.
