Blackstone Products Recalls Parmesan Ranch Seasoning Sold At Walmart Over Possible Salmonella In Milk Powder

Product Recall

Blackstone Products of Providence, Utah, has voluntarily recalled select lots of its Parmesan Ranch seasoning blend after discovering the product was made with dry milk powder from California Dairies, Inc., which has been recalled for potential Salmonella contamination. The recall was announced May 16, 2026. No illnesses have been reported. The affected products were sold exclusively through Walmart stores nationwide and directly through the Blackstone Products website.

What’s Being Recalled?

The recall covers Blackstone Parmesan Ranch seasoning, sold in 7.3-ounce packages with item number 4106. Three specific lot numbers are included, with corresponding best-by dates printed on the bottom of the packaging:

Lot 2025-43282 — best-by date July 2, 2027. Lot 2025-46172 — best-by date August 5, 2027. Lot 2026-54751 — best-by date August 12, 2027.

Only these three lot numbers are affected. No other Blackstone Products seasoning varieties are included in this recall.

Why Was This Product Recalled?

The recall traces back to dry milk powder supplied by California Dairies, Inc., which issued its own recall over potential Salmonella contamination. That milk powder was used as an ingredient in the Blackstone Parmesan Ranch seasoning. This is the same supplier at the center of a growing recall chain that has now affected Ghirardelli powdered beverage mixes, Utz Zapp’s and Dirty potato chips, Aldi and Walmart frozen pizzas, and now this Blackstone seasoning blend. The contamination has not been confirmed in any final product tested so far, but California Dairies‘ recall of the source milk powder has prompted all downstream manufacturers to pull affected lots precautionarily. Salmonella can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain, and can cause serious or fatal illness in young children, elderly individuals, and people with weakened immune systems. In rare cases, Salmonella infections enter the bloodstream and cause severe complications including endocarditis and arthritis.

What Should You Do?

Check the bottom of any Blackstone Parmesan Ranch 7.3-oz seasoning packages in your home for lot numbers 2025-43282, 2025-46172, or 2026-54751. Do not use the recalled seasoning. Throw it away immediately. Consumers who purchased the affected product may contact Blackstone Products at 1-888-879-4610 to receive a free replacement product or to ask additional questions. For grilling enthusiasts who use this seasoning regularly, the replacement offer is notable — the company is not just offering a refund but a direct replacement of the recalled product.
