De Dios’s Ice Pops II LLC has voluntarily recalled its 3.7-ounce D’dioses Fruit Pops after an FDA inspection found the products may contain undeclared milk, pecans, pistachios, Yellow #5, and Red #40 — none of which are listed on the label — posing serious or life-threatening allergy risks. The recall was announced May 28, 2026. No illnesses have been reported. Only products made before April 27, 2026 are included — products made after that date were produced under new FDA-verified allergen controls.
What’s Being Recalled?
The recall covers all 3.7-ounce D’dioses Fruit Pops produced before April 27, 2026, across 16 flavors sold in retail grocery stores in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. The affected flavors are: Coco, Fresa Con Leche, Arroz Con Leche, Mamey, Guayaba (Guava), Vanilla, Rompope, Nuez, Pistachio, Cookies and Cream, Piña Colada, Limon, Grocella, Mango, Tamarindo, and Nanche. The production date can be found on the product packaging. No other De Dios’s Ice Pops products are included in this recall.
Why Was This Product Recalled?
An FDA inspection found that the manufacturing facility’s processes needed improvement to prevent allergen cross-contact — the accidental introduction of allergens into a product not intended to contain them. As a result, pops produced before April 27 may contain undeclared milk, pecans, and pistachios — all major allergens under federal law — as well as Yellow #5 and Red #40, synthetic food dyes not declared on the label. These dyes have drawn increased federal scrutiny — the FDA and HHS announced in 2025 they were seeking to phase synthetic dyes out of the food supply over concerns about children’s health. Pecans and pistachios are tree nuts, one of the nine major allergens, and milk is another. Exposure can trigger reactions ranging from hives and swelling to anaphylaxis, a potentially fatal emergency.
What Should You Do?
Check your freezer for 3.7-ounce D’dioses Fruit Pops with a production date before April 27, 2026. Do not eat the recalled product — especially if you or anyone in your household has an allergy or sensitivity to milk, tree nuts, or food dyes. Return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund. If you or someone in your household consumed the recalled pops and experiences symptoms of an allergic reaction — including hives, swelling, difficulty breathing, or signs of anaphylaxis — seek emergency medical care immediately.
