Fromm Family Foods LLC of Mequon, Wisconsin, is recalling 3,852 cases of Fromm Turkey Pate Wet Dog Food and 1,973 cases of Fromm Diner Classics Milo’s Meatloaf Pate Wet Dog Food due to potential metal contamination. The recall was announced August 21, 2026. No pet illnesses or injuries have been reported. The recalled products were distributed to neighborhood pet stores and online retailers in the United States and Canada.

Two products are included, both 12-ounce canned wet dog food:
Fromm Turkey Pate Wet Dog Food — UPC 072705118700, Lot Code EP2A3306 551006, Best By 032029.
Fromm Diner Classics Milo’s Meatloaf Pate Wet Dog Food — UPC 072705132324, Lot Code EP2A3306 551029, Best By 032029.
Both products share the same lot code prefix (EP2A3306) and best-by date of March 2029. No other Fromm products are affected.
Why Was This Product Recalled?
Fromm Family Foods initiated the recall after receiving consumer complaints of metal contamination. Metal fragments in pet food can cause choking, vomiting, loss of appetite, lethargy, and stomach discomfort. Sharp metal pieces can cause lacerations in a dog’s mouth and gastrointestinal tract, and metal consumed in larger amounts can lead to partial blockage or intestinal obstruction requiring emergency veterinary care.
What Should You Do?
Stop feeding the recalled Fromm canned dog food to your pets immediately. Return it to the retailer where you purchased it for a refund. If your dog has consumed the recalled product and is showing signs of distress including choking, vomiting, lethargy, or loss of appetite, contact your veterinarian.
