Three Grand Central Bakery Potato Sourdough products sold on August 10, 2026 are included:
Potato Market Loaf, 20 oz — UPC 733163001576, sold in a paper bag at grocery stores
Potato Table Loaf, 20 oz — sold unpackaged at GCB cafes and to wholesalers
Mini Potato Loaf, 12 oz — sold unpackaged at grocery stores and wholesalers
The bread was sold at Central Co-op, Fred Meyer, Hilltop Red Apple, Ken’s Markets, Marketime Foods, PCC Markets, QFC, Town & Country Market, Thriftway, Whole Foods, and Yakima Fruit Markets in the Seattle and Tacoma areas, as well as at four Grand Central Bakery cafe locations in Burien, Eastlake, Wallingford, and Wedgewood.
Why Was This Product Recalled?
The recall was initiated after a pallet nail — a metal fastener used in warehouse and shipping operations — was discovered baked inside a loaf of Potato Sourdough Bread. Metal fragments in food can cause lacerations to the mouth, throat, and digestive tract, broken teeth, choking, and internal injury.
