The Hampton Grocers, Inc. of Montauk, New York, is recalling all 8-ounce packages of Lacnola Lactation Granola after the product’s organic moringa powder ingredient tested positive for Salmonella — linking this recall to the multistate moringa Salmonella outbreak we first reported in June 2026. The recall was announced August 14, 2026. No illnesses have been reported. The product was distributed nationwide through thehamptongrocers.com and Amazon between October 21, 2025, and August 12, 2026.
What’s Being Recalled?
The recall covers Lacnola Lactation Granola in 8-ounce pink stand-up pouches, UPC 850035324554. Two lot codes are included, printed in black ink on the upper left of the back of the bag:
Lot HGLC-102125 — expiration date 21OCT2026
Lot HGLC-021326 — expiration date 13FEB2027
No other Hampton Grocers products are affected.
Why Was This Product Recalled?
The Hampton Grocers was notified by an ingredient supplier that organic moringa powder used in the Lacnola Lactation Granola tested positive for Salmonella. This is the same ingredient at the center of the multistate moringa supplement Salmonella outbreak, which had sickened 119+ people across 36 states as of our June 29 coverage. The granola is marketed to nursing and breastfeeding mothers, a population that may be particularly concerned about passing a Salmonella infection to their infant. Production has been suspended while the FDA and company investigate.
