Horizon Organic initially recalled the product on March 11, 2026. The FDA formally classified the recall as Class II on May 5, 2026. No illnesses have been reported. The recall is limited to four states: Arizona, California, Nevada, and Oregon. No other Horizon Organic products are affected.
What’s Being Recalled?
The recall covers 6-packs and 18-packs of Horizon Organic Chocolate Organic Lowfat Milk, sold in 8-ounce shelf-stable cartons labeled “1% Lowfat DHA Omega-3 Chocolate Milk.” Item number 136518 and UPC code 742365004322 appear on both individual cartons and on the outer case. The affected cartons carry best-by dates of August 14, 2026, or August 15, 2026. Only these specific best-by dates are included in the recall. The product was distributed at retail locations in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Oregon.
