Lil Pick Up Inc. of Rowland Heights, California, has recalled approximately 4,900 Rex110 and Sierra110 youth all-terrain vehicles after the CPSC determined the vehicles violate multiple federal ATV safety standards, including excessive speed limits, defective suspension, and a throttle that can stick open. One child has already died. In 2025, a 6-year-old boy died in a crash involving a Rex110 while riding with a passenger — these vehicles are designed for a single rider only.
What’s Being Recalled?
The recall covers two youth ATV models sold under multiple brand names. The Rex110 was sold from January 2023 through November 2025, and the Sierra110 from January 2024 through January 2026, for between $600 and $800 each. The model name “Rex110” or “Sierra110” is printed on the VIN plate on the front frame column. The ATVs may carry the brand names Seangles, MOTOTEC, OFFROAD MALL, or EXTREME, or may be unbranded. They were sold in 13 color options at Cougar Cycle, Texas Star, Vitacci Motorcycles, ODES USA, BV Powersports, Offroad Mall, Triple J Imports, and other retailers nationwide and online.
Why Was This Product Recalled?
Federal safety standards for youth ATVs cap top speed for vehicles intended for children ages 6 and older. Both recalled models exceed those limits, reaching speeds children cannot safely control. The mechanical suspension on both models fails to comply with federal safety requirements, reducing stability and the vehicle’s ability to absorb impacts. The throttle can also stick open during use, preventing the rider from slowing or stopping. The footwell surfaces can reach dangerously high temperatures, posing a burn risk. Together, these defects create a compounding crash and burn hazard that led to one confirmed child fatality.
