No illnesses have been linked to these specific finished products. The recalled items have best-by dates through August 16, 2026, meaning they may currently be in consumers’ refrigerators. The products were distributed across 26 states.

The recalled products were distributed to retail distribution centers in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Wisconsin, and West Virginia.
Why Was This Product Recalled?
Taylor Fresh Foods uses jalapeño peppers supplied by Coast Citrus Distributors, whose jalapeños have been linked to a multistate Salmonella outbreak now spanning 345 confirmed cases in 27 states. A grower in Sinaloa, Mexico supplying Coast Citrus was identified as the potential source. Taylor Farms has stopped sourcing from that grower and is switching to alternative suppliers. No illnesses have been reported connected to these specific finished products. Salmonella can cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain, and can cause serious illness in young children, the elderly, and immunocompromised individuals.
What Should You Do?
Check your refrigerator immediately for any of the 20 products listed above with matching UPCs and best-by dates. Discard the product immediately and do not consume it.
